Hope is an important aspect for all of our lives. Hope that life will get better. Hope for a more prosperous future. Hope our children will have a bright future. Hope that our lives have meaning. Hope we are loved. Hope we will give something to this world for a better tomorrow.
There was a point in my life where I could feel hope slipping away. My positive outlook on life seem to have been diminishing with every passing day. I could actually feel hope slipping out of my grip.
When I got to this low point in m life, I knew I had to start practicing what I was telling my clients. "Change something!" I knew I had to make a change in my life at that specific point . I had lived for my children and for my work. Yet, when children became teenagers, they became to busy for Mom. This left me with my work. Work has a place in one's life; but, when it is all consuming it becomes a lonely life.
I started making healthy decisions. I got more active in my church, community, and made time for friends as well as for me! I did not give in to self pity or hopelessness. I began chasing healthy choices by making changes. Changes can give you hope if you allow yourself to change your old behaviors and routines. Reach out to others and open your mind to positive thoughts which creates positive behaviors and hope for a better today!
